Linda Bowers has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2001. Combining skills from her years as an automotive engineer, manager, single parent and educator, she brings a wealth of experience and insight to the teaching of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
She is a dynamic and popular speaker, and has provided workshops and talks at Beaumont and Crittenton Hospitals, the Michigan School for Professional Psychology Doctoral Program and Oakland University Masters Counseling Program.
Linda is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), has completed the Practicum in MBSR at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling. She has studied with renowned teachers, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, Christina Feldman and John Teasdale.
